Silk ribbons
Translucent ribbons flow and twist, catching light along their edges.
Geometry & light
Each ribbon is a narrow surface drawn around a flowing sinusoidal centreline. Its width turns and tapers along the curve, giving the appearance of twisting silk.
Thin translucent colour bands build the surface; fine luminous edges and additive colour blending brighten the overlaps. The colours stay attached to their ribbons.
Flow speed changes the motion. Ribbon width changes the surface breadth. Luminosity adjusts brightness, and Ribbon count sets the number of layered ribbons.
